Megan Hall is a senior associate in Mayer Brown's Tax Transactions & Consulting practice, focusing on international tax, including tax-free spinoffs and international mergers and acquisitions. Megan advises multinationals with structuring tax-efficient reorganizations and planning with respect to FIRPTA, Subpart F, permanent establishments, transfer pricing. Megan has experience working with US companies and multinationals that have a global workforce and provides tax and structuring advice with respect to new hires, secondments and contract workers. Megan advises US individuals (and the estates of U.S. decedents) living abroad on the US tax reporting obligations related to assets held outside the United States. Megan focuses her pro bono work on advising 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) and 501(c)(6) organizations including assisting with the process to obtain tax exemption. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Megan served as law clerk to The Honorable Marvin J. Garbis, United States District Court for the District of Maryland, from 2008 to 2009. Megan received her JD and LLM from Georgetown University Law Center.
