Overview
Max Fiest is an associate in Mayer Brown's New York office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice.
As an associate, Max has led the defense of a partition action initiated by a predatory investor, writing twenty briefs, successfully arguing five motions in open court, and representing his client at twelve court hearings or conferences. In October, he will lead a one-day bench trial on defendants’ motions to hold the opposing party, its principals, and counsel in criminal contempt.
For their pro bono work, Max and partner John Conlon were each awarded the City Bar Justice Center’s (CJBC) Outstanding Pro Bono Service award in October 2022. They were two of eleven honorees out of 1,800 volunteers for the CBJC. Max’s work was also highlighted by the CBJC when it honored Mayer Brown as “Pro Bono Firm of the Year” at their 18th Annual Awards Gala.
Max received his law degree from Columbia Law School, where he graduated with honors.
