James Coleman is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. His practice includes international and domestic commercial arbitration and commercial, antitrust, and environmental litigation before state and federal courts. 

James, a native of Ireland, has degrees in both Irish and American law. He received his JD from Northwestern University School of Law and his BCL from University College Dublin School of Law. James was an extern to Judge Sara L. Ellis of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, served on the Northwestern Journal of Human Rights, and represented Northwestern in international commercial arbitration competitions in the US, Austria, Hungary, and Mexico. Before moving to the US, James worked in Brussels and Strasbourg as a Parliamentary Assistant for a Member of the European Parliament.
