John Bobka is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC office and a member of the Banking & Finance practice. John’s practice focuses on the development and financing of renewable energy projects.
Before joining Mayer Brown, John was a member of an environmental and natural resources practice at a leading international law firm. There, he assisted on regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters arising under statutes such as the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, as well as performed environmental due diligence for solar energy projects.
Before entering private practice, John served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Matthew J. Fader, Chief Judge of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. During law school, John served as a legal extern at the United States Department of Interior, Office of the Solicitor, Division of Land Resources.
