David Bly is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC office and a member of the Real Estate Markets practice group. David focuses his practice on the representation of private equity funds and other institutional investors in commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of a wide variety of asset classes with an emphasis on joint ventures.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown, David represented banks and other lenders in the origination, servicing and sale of loans under Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily programs. David also represented private equity funds and investors at all levels of the capital stack in transactions involving mortgage financing, mezzanine loans and preferred equity investment.

Prior to practicing law, David taught 4th and 6th grade in Phoenix, Arizona as a Teach For America corps member.
