Overview

 Angel Alvarez Alberdi is a senior government affairs advisor focusing on EU institutional issues and interest representation. He has extensive experience in a wide range of industries, with an emphasis on energy policy and international trade. He advises clients providing political and legal analysis, developing strategies and reaching out to key decision-makers in EU institutions and Member States.

Angel has designed and coordinated a number of large pan-European campaigns, bridging over European Commission officials, Members of the European Parliament, representatives from Member States, industry, NGOs, think tanks, and the media.

Between 2013 and 2019 Angel was a vice-chair of the Institutional Affairs Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU. Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2011, Angel worked in a large Brussels-based trade association in the renewable energy sector. He also worked at the Secretariat-General of the European Commission and in a global public affairs consultancy.
