Jarman has earned a distinguished record of success in New York State Supreme Court, particularly in the Commercial Division of that court, where institutions often must litigate due to jurisdictional issues. His deep familiarity with state court procedures and practices enables him to drive consistently strong outcomes for his clients.
Jarman represents clients across a broad range of industries, defending against complex contract and tort claims in federal and state courts, arbitrations, class actions, and investigations. These include:
- Global financial institutions, including banks, administrative agents, and securitization trustees and underwriters;
- Private equity firms and other private credit lenders in connection with stand-alone and syndicated transactions;
- Major international communications and consumer products companies; and
- Highly regulated institutions, including global insurance and pharmaceutical companies.
Jarman is also deeply committed to pro bono work, representing clients through partnerships with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in New York City, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. In 2019, he received The Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono Publico Award in recognition of his exceptional service in landlord-tenant matters.
Having begun his career as a summer associate in the firm’s New York office, Jarman now gives back by mentoring numerous associates and serving on the New York Office Summer Committee, helping to develop the next generation of the firm’s legal talent.
