Mayer Brown receives perfect score in Corporate Equality Index for 10th consecutive year

For the 10th consecutive year, Mayer Brown has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. The survey is administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.

The 2020 CEI rated 1,059 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination policies across business entities, equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families, and supporting an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility. By satisfying all of the criteria, Mayer Brown joins the ranks of more than 680 major US businesses that earned a score of 100 percent.

As an example, the firm serves as a national sponsor of the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, a leading legal services organization seeking to establish and protect LGBTQ civil rights. Additionally, each year the firm sponsors and supports a number of LGBTQ community organizations. The firm also has affinity groups in a number offices that support its LGBTQ employees.
