Mayer Brown is pleased to announce that the firm received the Gold Law Firm Award for Pro Bono, the Distinguished Community Service Law Award and the Improvement Award at the Law Society of Hong Kong's 2019 Pro Bono and Community Service award presentation ceremony.
The Gold Award recognizes firms that exceed their peers in terms of the number of hours dedicated to pro bono and community service work. The Distinguished Community Service Law Award is presented to a law firm based on the judgment of a panel. Finally, the Improvement Award recognizes a law firm's increased efforts in pro bono.
"It is with great honor and pride that the firm receives these awards from the Law Society of Hong Kong, as they reflect our dedication to pro bono and community service work," said Terence Tung, senior partner of Mayer Brown in Asia.
"Giving back to the community we live and work is a culture deeply entrenched in Mayer Brown,” he added. “Through leveraging our existing experience and skills, we can provide practical and pragmatic solutions to our pro bono and CSR clients. It is, therefore, my hope that not only do we excel in our fee-paying work, but we also enjoy the same success in our pro bono work by providing practical commercial legal services.”
Mayer Brown was a recipient of the Bronze Law Firm Award from the Law Society of Hong Kong in 2017 and 2018.
These highly regarded awards from the Law Society of Hong Kong demonstrate the appreciation and recognition of its members.
