Mayer Brown announced that Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate Silvia Pacia (New York) has been selected as a recipient of the Armenian Bar Association’s “20 Under 40 Rising Stars” award. The award recognizes 20 Armenian legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their professions and who have made a meaningful impact on their respective communities.
Ms. Pacia is involved in the Armenian Bar Association in New York and the greater Armenian community in the region. She joined Mayer Brown in 2015, serving clients with complex commercial disputes, mostly in the financial sector. She has represented clients in complex commercial cases from their inception, through trial and to appeal. She concentrates on banking and financial services, including actions involving allegations of breach of contract, fraud, or misrepresentation in the sale of complex financial instruments, such as residential mortgage-backed securities.
She is also actively involved in pro bono engagements and has worked on matters involving domestic violence and prisoners’ rights.
The Armenian Bar Association was formed in 1989 to provide a forum for lawyers of Armenian heritage to come together socially and professionally and to address the legal concerns of the Armenian community.
