Mayer Brown has advised Steadfast Capital Fund III L.P. and a private investor on the sale of all shares in the Food & Service Group, which has facilities in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Nettetal and Kerken (North Rhine-Westphalia, "NRW", Germany). The shares were acquired by an investment company of the Frankfurt am Main-based private equity investor Finatem. The transaction has already been completed and the parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Food & Service Group is a wholesale distributor of items for the food industry. The business operates its own logistics fleet specializing in just-in-time delivery to small restaurants and wholesalers based mainly in NRW. In addition to manufacturing meat-based products, the group offers approximately 4,000 food and non-food products, comprising own and third-party brands as well as private label goods. Following its acquisition by Steadfast Capital Fund III L.P. in June 2015, the Food & Service Group has expanded as part of a buy-and-build strategy.

Steadfast Capital was founded in 2001 and is an independent private equity investor focused on medium-size businesses within German speaking Europe and Benelux countries.

Led by Dr. Julian Lemor and Birgit Hübscher-Alt, Mayer Brown has advised Steadfast Capital for more than 14 years. In August 2019, the firm advised Steadfast Capital on its acquisition of Koop Group .
