London — Mayer Brown has advised Eland Oil & Gas PLC on its sale to Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc, the West African oil operator, for approximately £382 million.
The London-listed oil and gas company reached agreement with Seplat Petroleum on a recommended cash acquisition for its entire share capital. The transaction will give the combined business greater scale in oil production and reserves in Nigeria.
Eland Oil & Gas is a long-standing client of Mayer Brown, which has advised the company on various transactions since its London IPO in 2012.
