As the leader of Mayer Brown’s State & Local Tax group, Ms. Robinson was recognized for her significant wins for clients, including a recent victory against New Jersey for unconstitutionally taxing a food products company that should have been protected under the Interstate Income Act. She also co-authored an amicus brief for eBay in South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., a landmark US Supreme Court case involving sales tax collection on remote sellers.

In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Robinson founded a monthly networking lunch for professional women in state and local tax in New York and New Jersey. “It’s a great group of women, and all are invited,” she told Law360. “It’s been something I’ve been able to foster, and it’s a way to give younger women what I didn’t have.”

Ms. Robinson is also an active member in national tax institutions, including serving as vice-chair of the State and Local Taxes Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation. She sits on several advisory boards, including the New York City Department of Finance commissioner and the New Jersey Supreme Court’s committee on tax court rules.
