London — Mayer Brown has been named one of the leading community investors in the UK at the GivX 25 Awards 2019 to celebrate this year’s index of top 25 companies for community investment.

The GivX framework, developed by social enterprise Benefacto, calculates the value an organisation adds to the community through volunteering and donations. An annual GivX score is given a pound value of what a company gives on a per employee basis. Data from more than 100 companies was analysed to produce this year’s benchmarking report.

Heidi Newbigging, London head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Mayer Brown, said: "Our community investment programme is all about making a difference. Just giving a little time can make a huge difference, whether that is through our volunteering and pro bono work with refugees and ex-offenders or attending a talk from one of our community partners to learn more about the issues they address. We are delighted to receive this recognition."
