Paris — Mayer Brown is advising AMEA Power on the development and financing of a 60 MW solar power plant in the Republic of Chad, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and subsequent Power Purchase Agreement between AMEA Power’s chairman, Hussain Al Nowais and Republic of Chad’s minister of petroleum and energy, Mahamat Hamid Koua.
Construction of the solar power plant is expected to be launched in 2020.
AMEA Power is a UAE-based developer, owner and operator of power assets in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
