Mayer Brown announced today that Britt Miller, the managing partner of Mayer Brown’s Chicago office and a co-leader of the global Antitrust & Competition practice, has been named by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) as a 2019 “Women of Achievement Award” honoree. The women were chosen based on their efforts to improve communication and understanding among the diverse racial, religious and ethnic communities of Chicago.
According to the ADL, Ms. Miller was selected because she has “overcome the odds to achieve significant success in her respective field.” In particular, Ms. Miller was selected for her trailblazing pro bono work, which includes reuniting two Brazilian migrant mothers with their children after being separated due to the Trump administration’s border policy. Ms. Miller was also acknowledged for her dedication and commitment to her work with a number of charitable organizations in the City of Chicago, including her past work with LINK Unlimited, which provides educational college preparatory opportunities for economically disadvantaged African American high school youth.
The ADL is dedicated to defending democratic ideals, safeguarding civil rights, and combating anti-Semitism, prejudice, discrimination and bigotry of all kinds.
