Mayer Brown announced today that its Restructuring practice has launched the “Real Bankruptcy Intel” blog. The blog will provide current updates on and analysis of restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency matters in the US.

Sean Scott and Aaron Gavant will serve as editors. Brian Trust, Thomas Kiriakos, Matthew Wargin, Joaquin M. C De Baca and the other members of the Mayer Brown’s Restructuring practice will be regular contributors to the blog.

“With the swift pace of change in corporate reorganizations and related litigation, we believe there is a strong need for clear, concise information addressing how these real-time developments can affect businesses and their creditors,” said Sean Scott, a partner in Mayer Brown’s Restructuring practice. “The launch of the Real Bankruptcy Intel blog enables our team to provide up-to-the-minute news and commentary.”

“Our contributors will provide timely briefings on recent legal and financial developments, significant court decisions, market trends and other issues of interest,” said Aaron Gavant, a partner in Mayer Brown’s Restructuring practice.

Mayer Brown’s Restructuring practice has more than 50 lawyers operating in jurisdictions across the Americas, Asia and Europe. These lawyers are supported by a network of hundreds of transaction and litigation lawyers who assist on matters ranging in size and complexity from multi-billion-dollar, cross-border insolvency proceedings to middle-market and smaller-size restructurings and recapitalizations.
