Mayer Brown received Lutheran Social Services of New York (LSSNY)’s Honorable Daniel W. Joy Dedicated Service Award at its recent annual gala. The award recognizes “an individual, organization, group or business that uses its expertise, experience and or professional talents to enhance and support the work of Lutheran Social Services of New York and the individuals who we serve.” Mayer Brown was one of three law firms to be honored.

Mayer Brown is a leader in developing innovative approaches to pro bono work. In 2018, the firm provided legal assistance in more than 200 pro bono matters in New York, earning the 2019 “President’s Pro Bono Service Award” from the New York State Bar Association.

Founded in 1886, LSSNY is a nonprofit social service organization devoted to strengthening lives, families and communities. It has developed a wide range of educational and community programs to assist people across New York to reach their full potential.
