London — Mayer Brown announced today that it has expanded its global energy capabilities with the appointment of Bob Palmer, who joins the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice in London as a partner.

Bob is a highly accomplished lawyer with 30 years' experience in the oil and gas industry. His practice is focused on foreign and domestic mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing and concessions, project development and supply chain contracting transactions for energy clients across Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Asia, South America and Africa. He has also advised on a number of oil and gas-related disputes. Bob's clients include large, well-known oil, gas and energy companies, small start-ups in the sector, banks and government companies.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Bob was head of the Energy, Projects and Construction team and a partner in the Oil & Gas team at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP. His arrival at Mayer Brown will help to further the firm’s market-leading reputation in the oil and gas sector.
