Acquisition by Peugeot Frères Industrie, holding of the family group Peugeot, of the majority shareholding of Monbento.
Peugeot Frères Industrie, holding of the family group Peugeot held by Etablissements Peugeot Frères, has announced its acquisition of the majority shareholding of Monbento. The shares have been acquired from the managers of the company and the investment fund Newfund. With this investment, Peugeot Frères Industrie diversifies its activities in the kitchenware and dining sector, in which the group is already present with its company Peugeot Saveurs.
Founded in 2009, Monbento is a French company based in Clermont-Ferrand. It is specialised in the design and the distribution of design lunch boxes and accesories with a focus on the function and design. With a presence in 70 countries, Monbento’s online sales already accounts for 40% of its turnover. France, China and Germany are its main markets.
