Mayer Brown announced today that Litigation & Dispute Resolution partner Mike Lennon (Houston) was named a 2018 “ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Champion” by The National Law Journal (NLJ). The list recognizes those who have shown a deep passion and perseverance in the practice of ADR, “having achieved remarkable successes along the way.”

In a profile article, NLJ noted Mr. Lennon’s gradual path to ADR. “In Texas, we have mandatory mediation for litigation,” he told the publication. “So, I was familiar with dispute resolution. My practice is energy disputes, and as the energy business exploded internationally, it led me to international arbitration and expert determination.” The profile also highlighted Mr. Lennon’s first-time experience as a sole arbitrator, his win before the dispute resolution arm of the World Bank and his outlook on the future of international arbitration.

Mr. Lennon is a partner in Mayer Brown’s International Arbitration practice and Global Energy group. He is an experienced arbitration practitioner and trial lawyer with an outstanding track record for handling a wide variety of arbitration and litigation matters, particularly in the energy, natural resources and construction sectors.
