Mayer Brown announced today that Corporate & Securities partner Elizabeth Raymond (Chicago) was named a “Woman of Influence” by Chicago Business Journal, recognizing her impact both professionally and in her community. In 2017, Ms. Raymond was selected to Crain’s Chicago Business’ “Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago.”

In addition to highlighting her career successes, a Chicago Business Journal profile pointed to Ms. Raymond’s volunteer work as a trustee of the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. “I particularly love following new works as they are developed by playwrights from first reading to a full production,” she said.

Ms. Raymond is the co-leader of Mayer Brown’s Corporate & Securities practice and Financial Institutions M&A group. She focuses her practice on advising financial institutions—including commercial and investment banks, finance companies, insurance companies, asset managers and broker-dealers, and private equity and hedge funds that invest in financial service businesses—in connection with merger and acquisition transactions. She also works closely with the firm’s Banking & Finance, Financial Services Regulatory & Enforcement and Consumer Financial Services practices to provide the financial product and transaction experience that is central to financial institutions.
