Mayer Brown has been awarded the 10 Year Plus Caring Company logo for the second time in a row, an annual emblem bestowed on an organization to indicate that for 10 consecutive years, it has recognized the importance of corporate social responsibility and fulfils its responsibility to care for the community.

The Caring Company Scheme, run by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, allows eligible companies and organizations to display the Caring Company Logo on their collateral and at events for a one-year period. The Logo is awarded to corporates that have met two of the following six criteria: volunteering, being employee friendly, employing the vulnerable, caring for the environment, mentoring and giving.

In terms of charitable activities, Mayer Brown contributes to a wide variety of respected charities and non-profit organizations, as well as providing pro bono legal support and direct financial contributions. Additionally, the firm has gone above and beyond specified requirements to ensure a safe, enjoyable and caring working environment at its Hong Kong office, and has attained numerous green accreditations in Hong Kong as a result of its efforts to reduce its environmental impact.

Launched in 2002, the Scheme strives to establish strategic partnerships between businesses and non-profit organizations to cultivate good corporate citizenship and create a more cohesive society through caring for the community, employees and the environment.
