Mayer Brown announced today that Washington DC-based Employment & Benefits counsel Lisa Pino received the “Gold ’n Gavel” Star Award from her alma mater, the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where she first studied immigration law. The Gold ’n Gavel Auction and Reception celebrated the 50th anniversary of the law school and commemorated an awardee for each graduating class.

At Mayer Brown, Ms. Pino focuses her practice on global mobility and immigration. As a former Obama presidential appointee and senior counselor to the secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, she brings critical government experience on homeland security, immigration and administrative procedural matters. Ms. Pino received her BA, MA and JD from Arizona State University with honors.
