Mayer Brown’s significant international expansion efforts over the last 15 years have always been driven by the growing needs of the firm’s core clients, Mayer Brown Chairman Paul Theiss told Law360. While Mayer Brown’s clients benefit from the firm’s global reach, he said, the ability to collaborate effectively across offices is essential.

Law360 highlighted a number of recent matters, including:

  • Serving as counsel to Hong Kong-based GR Properties in its acquisition of London’s Boundary House, the first post-Brexit London real estate deal of its kind; and
  • Advising Yum Brands on all facets of the spinoff of its China restaurant business into an independent, publicly traded company.
