Mayer Brown announced that Chicago-based Litigation & Dispute Resolution partner Nancy Ross was included in Best Lawyers’ Women of Influence list in its “Women in Law” Spring 2017 Business Edition.
A submission for Ms. Ross published in Best Lawyers said: “Nancy’s confidence in herself and her abilities, whether in the courtroom, on a client call, or at a firm meeting, always shines through, setting a wonderful example for women around her.”
Co-chair of the ERISA Litigation practice, Ms. Ross focuses her practice primarily on the area of employee benefits class action litigation and counseling under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. She has extensive experience in counseling and representing employers, boards of directors, plan fiduciaries and trustees in matters concerning pension and welfare benefit plans.
Best Lawyers’ “Women of Influence” awards are the result of the first-ever collaboration between the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law and Best Lawyers. Coalition members in both private and general practice submitted nominations, with each nominee named for her outstanding work in her area of expertise. Best Lawyers editors evaluated ballots and selected winners.
