Mayer Brown was named a Pro Bono Champion at Public Advocates’ annual Voices of Conscience Celebration. The inaugural awards recognize the critical role law firms play in helping Public Advocates further its mission to challenge the systemic causes of poverty and racial discrimination.

Mayer Brown was recognized for assisting Public Advocates in developing an agreement between parents and West Contra Costa Unified School District over the district’s transparency and public accountability regarding $4.3 million for new or improved services to high-need students under the Local Control Funding Formula law.
