Paris - The LVMH group and Maison Francis Kurkdjian announced on 20 March 2017 the sale of Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s majority stake to LVMH. Marc Chaya and Francis Kurkdjian, the chairman and creative director will remain in office and among the shareholders of the company.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian was created in 2009 by its founders Marc Chaya and Francis Kurkdjian. The brand is represented in 40 countries and, since 2016, has been a member of the Comité Colbert, an association to promote French art de vivre at an international level.

Francis Kurkdjian is a world-known contemporary perfumer who has been designing scents for over 20 years combining high standards and modernity, notably through his tailor-made perfume workshop, artistic collaboration and temporary installation. Along with Marc Chaya, former partner at Ernst & Young in Paris, they have been the chairman/designer duo since they cofounded Maison Francis Kurkdjian in 2009.

The team included Jean-François Louit, partner, and Marion Bruère, associate, with regard to the corporate aspects, and Laurent Borey, Benjamin Homo, partners, and Rémy Bonnaud, associate, with regard to the structuring aspects.
