Mayer Brown is pleased to announce that, for the eleventh year, the firm has supported WWF by honouring Earth Hour 2017 in Hong Kong. From 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on 25 March, all non-essential lights and electrical appliances across our offices were turned off.

The firm joined more than 7,000 companies and individuals in Hong Kong who pledged to save energy and reduce energy consumption in all forms. The lights-out initiative is an example of the firm's long-term commitment to promote sustainability.

As an active supporter of green initiatives, the firm has been quick to adopt effective ways to minimise its environmental footprint, such as the installation of energy-saving lighting system and sensor taps, and the use of fully-recyclable fixtures in its Hong Kong office. In recognition for its continuous efforts in promoting environmental practices and management in the workplace, the firm's Hong Kong office has been named a Hong Kong Green Organisation (HKGO) in 2017.
