Mayer Brown announced that Litigation & Dispute Resolution partner Jessica Crutcher has been named to Houston Business Journal’s (HBJ) “40 Under 40” Class of 2016. Judges scored nominees on leadership, overcoming challenges and community involvement.

HBJ recognized Ms. Crutcher for her accomplishments in the business community and her commitment to both providing and coordinating pro bono legal services, including in conjunction with Tahirih, a national nonprofit that provides direct legal representation to immigrant women and girls fleeing gender-based violence in their country of origin. She told the publication her biggest accomplishment to date was her promotion to partner in 2015. “I am hopeful that my promotion to partner increases my power to encourage diversity and community service on a broader platform,” she said.

Ms. Crutcher’s practice involves litigation in state and federal courts, as well as mediation and arbitration. Her trial and case experience arises out of a variety of business and financial disputes, including energy industry litigation, securities litigation, banking litigation, real estate litigation, bankruptcy and restructuring litigation, business torts, commercial contract disputes, and directors’ and officers’ liability.
