Tauil & Chequer Advogados, in association with Mayer Brown, has strengthened its infrastructure and regulatory capabilities with the arrival of Bruno Aurélio, a new partner in the Corporate & Securities practice, and three new associates. Before joining the firm, Mr. Aurélio was a partner at Cascione, Pulino, Boulos & Santos Advogados.

Mr. Aurélio is renowned for his experience in structuring and monitoring complex infrastructure projects, particularly in privatizations achieved through the public-private partnerships (PPP) model or full consultancy throughout bidding processes. Additionally, he has experience in defending the private interests of government bodies, such as auditing courts and regulatory agencies, in addition to counseling companies and investment firms acquiring stocks in the public market.

Mr. Aurélio earned masters and doctoral degrees in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, where he now teaches post-graduate courses. He also served as special counsel for the Infrastructure Commission for the Federal Council of Brazilian Lawyers. Mr. Aurélio is a member of the Administrative Law Institute of São Paulo (IDAP) and the Brazilian Institute of Law and Business Ethics. He also serves as the director of communications at the Brazilian Institute of Infrastructure Law Studies (IBEJI).
