Mayer Brown announced today that it has been recognized for its commitment to LGBT inclusivity by Equality Illinois in the organization’s annual “Raising the Bar” report for the fifth consecutive year. The 2016 report names 40 Illinois law firms that “lead the way in providing a welcoming and fair work environment for LGBT employees and engaging with the LGBT community,” said Equality Illinois.
Firms were selected based on information they provided in the 2016 Equality Illinois Law Firm Survey. Equality Illinois analyzed the responses to determine the firms’ commitment to equality in employment benefits, workplace diversity initiatives and community relations.
Equality Illinois is the state’s oldest and largest organization working to secure, protect and defend equal rights for LGBT people in Illinois.
