Mayer Brown Germany has been nominated by JUVE as the 2016 “Law Firm of the Year” for Employment Law and M&A. The winners will be announced in October in Frankfurt.

JUVE, the leading publishing house for the German legal market, honors law firms for outstanding performance in a specific practice area or region. Nominations are based on personal and telephone interviews as well as written surveys, which are led by JUVE editors with clients, lawyers, judges and other market participants. Selection criteria include expertise, strategic orientation, service orientation and future potential.

“We are delighted about this additional acknowledgment of our work. During the past year we were able to particularly develop the law firm strategically, to expand existing client relationships and to gain new clients,” said Dr. Guido Zeppenfeld, managing partner at Mayer Brown in Germany.

Mr. Zeppenfeld also heads the German Employment Law team and is co-leader of the international Employment & Benefits Group. “This repeated nomination of our Employment Law team recognizes our focus on quality and practice orientation.”

“We have set key milestones for the firm in the past year in particular for the growth in the area of Corporate/M&A and were thereby able to increase our market visibility significantly”, added Dr. Klaus Riehmer, leader of the German Corporate & Securities Group.

The German Employment & Benefits team advises on individual and collective employment law as well as on transactions and restructurings, compensation and employee share schemes, occupational pensions and employee data protection. Another focus of the group is multijurisdictional projects, where the firm’s worldwide network is of particular benefit.
