ANGOLA – FOREIGN FIRMS (Tier 1)
One of the few Brazilian firms with a significant Angolan practice, Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown has particular expertise in oil and gas and infrastructure projects. The team, which is co-led by Alexandre Chequer and Gonçalo Falcão, recently advised new client Single Buoy Mooring on the construction and lease of a number of Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSOs). In other work, it is assisting Quantum Global in structuring an $80m investment for the construction of a beverage plant, and continues to assist the contractor group charged with the implementation of a subsea fibre-optic cable network connecting certain offshore blocks. Chevron, ENI, Maersk Oil, Sonangol and Sonatide are also clients.
