Mayer Brown announced today it has appointed Rebecca S. Eisner as Partner-in-Charge of its Chicago office, effective July 1, 2015. A prominent lawyer in Mayer Brown’s global Business & Technology Sourcing and Privacy & Security groups and a member of the firm’s Partnership Board, Ms. Eisner succeeds Frederick Thomas, who has led the Chicago office since 2007.

Ms. Eisner focuses her practice on complex global technology and business process transactions, information technology, cloud computing, privacy, and security. She has represented both buyers and providers of technology goods and services. Ms. Eisner regularly advises clients in data protection, data privacy and cybersecurity issues. Her privacy work includes advising clients on privacy and data transfer issues affecting corporate initiatives, such as global technology solutions, divestitures, global data compliance programs, and managing third party suppliers that have access to regulated data. From 1993-1995, Ms. Eisner served as assistant vice president in the legal department at Equifax, Inc. in Atlanta.

An active participant in Mayer Brown’s women’s initiatives, Ms. Eisner regularly speaks on panels about women and business development, mentors female associates, and participates in the firm’s women’s conferences.
