Mayer Brown named “M&A Advisory Firm of the Year” at the Vietnam M&A Forum 2014
Supported by the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the Vietnam Investment Review (VIR) and AVM Vietnam, Mayer Brown was awarded “M&A Advisory Firm of the Year 2013-2014” at the Vietnam M&A Forum 2014, held recently in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. A few other leading local and foreign firms were also honoured based on the size of the deals they have advised on and the influence those deals have had on the market.
Judges at the Vietnam M&A Forum 2014 focused on the impact that M&A deals have had on the strategies and development of Vietnamese enterprises. They also analysed key factors behind M&A successes, and post-M&A developments of relevance to Vietnamese companies.
John Marsden, partner-in-charge of Vietnam, said: “I feel privileged to have won the award when business environment remains challenging. This recognition only makes us stronger and we look forward to continuing our leading advisory role in contributing to the development of the economy in Vietnam.”
Mayer Brown was the sole winner of “Leading Advisory Firm, 2009-2013,” a five-year award given by the Vietnam M&A Forum last year.
