Mayer Brown today announced that partner Hannah Ha has received the “Best in Competition and Antitrust” award at the Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2013.
This is the third time that Euromoney Legal Media Group has held its annual Asia Women in Business Law Awards, which recognise the achievements of the leading female practitioners in 14 legal practice areas, as well as those of domestic and international law firms dedicated to the advancement of women in the legal profession.
The “Best in Competition & Antitrust” award is a tribute to Hannah’s achievements as Co-head of Mayer Brown’s Antitrust & Competition team in Asia. Hannah frequently advises on merger control issues in the PRC and has made successful merger control filings with the PRC authorities. In addition to her broader advisory work, Hannah also assists various multinational corporations in rolling out compliance programmes for antitrust and anti-corruption in Asia. Hannah works closely with lawyers in our Singapore and Vietnam offices to help clients address issues arising under the developing competition law regimes of Southeast Asian countries. Hannah and her team also coordinate antitrust filings, behavioural work and investigation response in key regional jurisdictions such as Taiwan, Korea and Japan.
Hannah is a China-Appointed Attesting Officer, appointed by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC, and a notary public in Hong Kong.
“I am deeply humbled and honoured to have received such a distinguished award,” said Hannah. “It is not only a recognition of my own achievements, but also of the work my team has accomplished and of the support we have received from our clients, for which I owe my gratitude.”
Mayer Brown has an experienced Antitrust & Competition team helping clients secure clearances for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other commercial transactions, and providing advice relating to the rapidly developing antitrust regimes in the region.
