London - Mayer Brown has recruited Stefan Martin, a highly rated employment lawyer, as a partner in its Employment and Benefits group in London.

Stefan's practice is focused on financial institutions and corporates and he has vast experience across the full range of employment work. He has been involved in many high profile contentious and non-contentious matters, frequently leading complex cases before both the Employment Tribunal and the High Court. In addition, Stefan advises employers on cross-border issues and coordinates the employment aspects of complex global transactions. He frequently comments on topical employment issues, including bankers' bonuses and the impact of social media in the workplace, and is highly ranked by market leading legal directories.

Stefan will join Mayer Brown from Allen & Overy, where he is a partner in the employment group. His skill set will complement the existing strengths of the Mayer Brown employment team, which is recognised for the quality of its UK and International practices. As part of Mayer Brown's Employment and Benefits group Stefan will play an important role in supporting the team's work with its existing client base and will enhance the firm's cross-border capabilities.
