Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced that Litigation & Dispute Resolution partner Archis Parasharami (Washington DC) has been named a “Rising Star” in the Class Actions category by Law360. View the feature article.

The “Rising Stars” awards recognize lawyers under 40 “whose legal accomplishments belie their age,” Law360 said. As an example of Mr. Parasharami’s achievements, the publication noted his work representing AT&T, particularly his “key role in shepherding the landmark AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion case from the drafting of an arbitration agreement all the way to a favorable decision from the US Supreme Court.”

Law360 also mentioned Mr. Parasharami’s work in Hancock v. AT&T, in which the 10th Circuit ruled that the click of a web page button by a potential class plaintiff counts as an assent to the terms of an arbitration agreement. In addition, the publication noted his role in recently launching and co-editing Mayer Brown’s Class Defense blog.

Editors of Law360 reviewed nearly 1,000 submissions spanning 23 different practice areas for the “Rising Stars” series for 2013. Winners were chosen based on the strength of their accomplishments in their practice areas.
