Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced today that it has been recognized in the inaugural LMG Clean Technology & Renewable Energy guide, published by Euromoney’s Legal Media Group. The guide is a definitive resource for practical, in-depth analysis of the clean technology and renewable energy legal market in the United States.

LMG Clean Technology & Renewable Energy designated law firms as “Highly Recommended” or “Recommended” based on surveys and interviews with partners active in the market, as well as feedback from numerous clients.

Mayer Brown was “Highly Recommended” for Tax and “Recommended” for Corporate in the publication’s Finance & Transactional category and described as “‘… easily one of the best transactional groups the sector has to offer,’” according to a client. The guide also referenced a lawyer at another firm, who said of Mayer Brown, “‘With the amount of talent the firm has, they should be one of the biggest players in renewables for the next several years.’”

The firm also was “Recommended” in the Regulatory category and described as a “‘… very cohesive team that is always working in the best interest for their clients’ compliance needs,’” according to a peer source.

Mayer Brown Energy industry group partner Jeffrey G. Davis (Washington, DC) was named to the guide’s “CleanTech 100” listing of the top 100 clean technology and renewable energy attorneys in the US. Those selected to the list were consistently recommended as reputable and effective industry lawyers. Mr. Davis, who was described as “‘one of the leading tax attorneys in the country,’” is considered “‘smart, business savvy, and incredibly devoted to his clients’” by one respondent.
