London - Leading global law firm Mayer Brown has advised Entertainment One on the £143.7 million acquisition of Alliance Films, the major Canadian film distribution company.
The acquisition will create the largest independent film distributor in Canada and the United Kingdom. Entertainment One will have a combined library of more than 35,000 film and television titles with Pulp Fiction, The Kings Speech, Lord of the Rings and The Hunger Games complimenting current titles such as the Twilight film series.
Entertainment One Ltd is an international entertainment business listed on the London Stock Exchange operating in Canada, the UK, Europe and the USA. Mayer Brown has advised Entertainment One Ltd since its incorporation.
