Mayer Brown advised Dow Anlagengesellschaft mbH in relation to the construction of a combined Co Generation Power Plant in Stade. The plant consists of three gas turbines, each with generator, three heat-recovery steam generators as well as a steam turbine including the related electric infrastructure. From 2010 onwards, the new plant shall provide the existing production site of Dow in Stade with steam and up to 190 megawatt electricity. Dow Deutschland Anlagengesellschaft belongs to The Dow Chemicals Company.

Mayer Brown LLP comprehensively advised Dow in negotiations of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Agreements with leading energy technology and construction companies based on which the CoGen Plant will be constructed turn key divided into three lots. Furthermore a Maintenance Agreement was negotiated and executed. Prior to that Mayer Brown had already advised on the financial leasing of this project with BTMU Capital Corporation (news release dated May 20, 2010).
