19 August 2010 – Leading international law firm Mayer Brown has appointed Dominic Griffiths as the new head of the Banking & Finance group in London. Dominic, who has significant experience in the international finance sector, joined Mayer Brown five  years ago. He takes over from Bruce Bloomingdale, who will now concentrate on increasing the synergies between the firm's European and US Finance practices as well as continuing to advise the firm's clients on international finance transactions.

Dominic is a respected banking and structured finance lawyer who has been instrumental in building  Mayer Brown’s Securitisation and Leveraged Finance groups in London. He represents banks, financial institutions and corporations across a broad spectrum of international financing transactions. His practice is particularly focused on matters of asset-based lending, acquisition finance and securitisation. He has in-depth experience with regard to European cross-border secured loans, trade receivables financings, mortgage-backed securitisations, CDOs and project financings. Dominic also represents clients engaged in the structuring and execution of finance transactions in Italy and the emerging markets.  Dominic joined Mayer Brown in 2005 having previously worked at another leading international law firm in London and Milan.

Mayer Brown has a leading Finance practice, with over 22 partners and 60 lawyers in London. The practice has been strengthened over the past year with the hire of seven new partners from Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Linklaters and other leading law firms.
