9 August 2010, London – Leading international law firm Mayer Brown has advised Davis Langdon, a global construction consultancy, on its US$324 million takeover by AECOM Technology Corporation, a global provider of professional, technical and management support services.

The acquisition has been approved by Davis Langdon shareholders and partners, and is subject to customary closing conditions, including necessary regulatory and third party approvals. Its counterpart in Asia, Davis Langdon & Seah, will remain independent, but will continue to work with AECOM’s Davis Langdon operations under an existing collaboration agreement. The transaction is expected to close in October 2010.

The Mayer Brown team was lead by Corporate partners Stephen Bottomley and Lauri-Lynn Pursall, supported by Paul de Bernier, and associates Michelle Wyatt, Katherine Woods and trainees James Kench and Anya Nixon. The team project managed the deal on a global scale in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Middle East and the US.

The Corporate team was assisted by Tax partners Michael Cashman and Sandy Bhogal, Tax associates Catriona Nicol and Ben Fryer; Employment partner Nicholas Robertson and Real Estate partner Nick Marshall.
