Mayer Brown has expanded its Asian Energy practice with the appointment of Jack Su, senior consultant, who will be based in Hong Kong. He joins a 150-member strong Global Energy Practice Group.
Having worked in Asia since 1991, Mr. Su has a solid track record in the mergers and acquisitions of energy, power and infrastructure entities in Asia, and has been involved in projects totalling more than US$4 billion. He also has extensive experience in the development and financing of power and water projects.
Mr. Su joined Mayer Brown from Lovells. Prior to that, he worked for a number of other large international legal firms. He was also in-house counsel for Vivendi Water (now known as Veolia Environment), one of the world's leading environmental services providers, where he led the acquisitions and financing team in Asia. Jack also worked for Sithe Asia, Vivendi's power development subsidiary.

Mr. Su graduated from Indiana University and received his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and a regular contributor to energy and trade magazines.
