15 October 2008 - Mayer Brown LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that six of its attorneys are ranked in the 2009 edition of Chambers Latin America. The new Chambers edition also ranks Mayer Brown practices in 3 Latin America-wide categories: Capital Markets, Corporate/M&A and Projects.

Chambers notes that Mayer Brown was “…one of the first US law firms to create a dedicated Latin American group and is now a fixture in the regional legal landscape.”  The publication adds that “the New York and Chicago offices remain the core of Mayer Brown’s Latin America team,” which has been strengthened with the opening in 2007 of an office in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  This step is seen by the market as “a sign of strong commitment to Latin America” and “can only be a good thing for the firm and its clients,” Chambers says.
