23 September 2008 – JSM picked up three awards at the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2008 ceremony organised by Asian Legal Business magazine on 19 September 2008.

JSM scooped more awards than any other firm, winning the "Hong Kong Law Firm of the Year" award for the sixth time. We also received the "Employment Law Firm of the Year" award for our significant work on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters in the last 12 months. Elaine Lo, Chairman of Asia Board and Senior Partner of JSM, received the prestigious "Managing Partner of the Year" award for her leadership particularly during the recent combination with Mayer Brown.

ALB Hong Kong Law Awards recognises and promotes outstanding professional achievements in Hong Kong. Winning these awards reflects market recognition of JSM's outstanding performance in the legal industry. The awards were selected by a panel of independent judges based on nominations from senior in-house counsels and interviews with clients, followed by a thorough review and verification of information submitted by the finalists.
