20 May 2008 - Mayer Brown LLP, a leading global law firm, ranked in the top 5% of 415 law firms on four key metrics related to law firm awareness in a study conducted by the BTI Consulting Group. 

The study, titled "Mindshare Leaders: BTI's National Study of Market Perception and Performance," analyzed unaided awareness of the law firms through more than 1,700 interviews with corporate counsel at Fortune 100 and Global 500 companies and organizations in more than 15 industries. 

BTI ranked law firms on key measures of unaided awareness, including counsels' perceptions of  the firm as a "bet the company," premium provider, its innovativeness in business practices and its approach to clients and the likelihood that a client would recommend the firm.

The study also examined the three elements of brand image - familiarity, differentiation and favorability - and combined them into a "Most Favored Law Firm" ranking.  Mayer Brown ranked 21st in the "Well Positioned" tier on this metric.
