Hong Kong, 22 February, 2008 - JSM has been awarded the Caring Company Logo 2007/08 by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service which was presented at the Caring Company Ceremony on 21 February 2008.

The Caring Company Scheme, organised by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, aims to build a caring community spirit through cultivating corporate citizenship and motivating strategic partnership. The Caring Company Logo is awarded to private companies and organisations which demonstrate good corporate citizenship and have satisfied two out the six criteria: Volunteering, Employee friendly, Employing the vulnerable, Caring for the environment, Mentoring and Giving.

"We are greatly honoured by this award," said Elaine Lo, Chairman of Mayer Brown's Asia Board and Senior Partner of JSM. "We are committed to the communities in the markets in which we operate. The award of the Caring Company Logo affirms and recognises our involvement with charities and our work in those communities. It represents the firm's efforts to fulfil our corporate citizenship role by committing to our community at large, a firm value which we will continue to uphold."

Over the years, JSM has supported many charities and community organisations through its involvement in fund raising events and by making direct financial contributions. The firm encourages its staff to organise and participate in community involvement activities. JSM also offers job opportunities to people with physical disabilities and takes practical measures to protect the environment.
