On the 30 and 31 May 2007 Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw participated in the Legal Chances, 'Ethnic Minorities into City Law Firms' event along with 17 other city law firms. The event is now in its fourth year and continues to provide opportunities for students to learn more about law and working in a city law firm.

The event is run by GTI specialist publications who produce Target Law and Doctorjob amongst many other publications and is open to first year law and second year non-law ethnic minority students.

Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw together with other major law firms including Allen & Overy, CMS Cameron McKenna, DLA Piper, Field Fisher Waterhouse, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Herbert Smith facilitated the two day event for 100 delegates, with the aim of promoting the legal sector to students from ethnic minorities.

Over the course of the two days attendees were given an insider's view to working in a city law firm, took part in a legal based case study, and networked with all levels of lawyers from the major firms.
